Fling iPad Game Controller

Wow. I've been seriously lagging.  In the half month since I last posted many things in the iOS world have changed:

But what really pushed me to write this post is a piece of hardware for the iPad that won Best of Show at MacWorld 2011 - the Fling Game Controller (pictured, above).

It's simple.  It is a little piece of plastic that suction cups to your iPad that gives you an analog joystick.  Although I haven't had many problems with touchscreen joysticks, I wonder if this would make some of the first-person shooter games on the iPad a little easier to play.

You can buy one for $19.95 or two for $29.95.  I decided to order a pair.  It comes in three colors:  Ice, Ninja and Ultraviolet.  But, as of this writing, the website says Ice won't be available until Feb. 23.  Fine.  I got the Ninja. Because I am a ninja.  I added $5 for first-class mail shipping.

I'll post a review of it after I get it and I am able to play a bunch of games with it.  It's amazing how many games on my iPad will support the Fling.  Fling has put together a list of compatible iPad games and users can add games to the list.

Here's a video of how the Fling works:
